GEANHS recognizes the power of ICT as a catalyst for progress, as it celebrates ICT Month and Cyber Awareness Month in September. A series of activities and competitions from September 19-21 were spearheaded by the ICT teachers, including: ICT Quiz Bee, Poster Making Contest, Webpage Design Contest, Tarpaulin Design Contest, MTV Making Contest, and PC Assembly and Disassembly. Outstanding contenders were awarded with certificates during the Closing Program. Such competitions showcased the talents of students in ICT as a 21st century skill, and also spread awareness among youth on the fruitful effects of proper use of technology and the internet.

   In the advent of unhealthy lifestyle in media, Wellness Campus was introduced in schools to encourage healthy eating habits and exercise among youth. GEANHS joined the movement of boosting healthy lifestyle among students through the regular practice of Wellness Dance. Students from all year levels joined together and occupied every corner of the campus to dance to the rhythm of the Wellness Campus jingle.    

 Moreover, through the initiative of the MAPEH Department, the Pinggang Pinoy was incorporated not only in school meals, but also in family meals at home. Through this collaborative effort of students, parents and teachers, GEANHS was awarded 1st Place Division Wellness Campus

            On September 21, Grade 9 and 10 students gathered at the Main Building AVR to learn about “Adolescent Sexuality and Reproductive Health”. City of Imus Population Commission (PopCom) Head, Ms. Herminia Saprid Austria lead the discussion on sensitive yet essential topics that young people often taken for granted. According to Ms. Austria, it is necessary that teens discuss sexuality with a trusted adult, especially their parents or teachers, so that their curiosity and imagination are directed towards healthier and sounder decisions.

            For the past years, GEANHS has proven its excellence in Science, with Emilians bringing home honors from division, regional and national Science Fair and Congress. This scientific culture is now embedded as GEANHS piloted the Special Program for Science, Technology and Engineering in Grade 7. To cultivate this science community, the school-based Science Fair and Congress 2018 was held on September 12 to 13. With the theme “Science for the People, Science for

CALABARZON: Innovation that Transforms the Future”, the Science Department prepared an exhibit that showcased the Robotics outputs and Science Investigatory Projects (SIP) of talented students who will surely be future engineers, researchers, and scientists. Outstanding students in the said activities will represent the school in the Division Science Fair and Congress 2018.

            Awarded Best SDRRM Implementer in the Schools Division of Imus City in 2017, GEANHS aims to capacitate every member of the School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Group (SDRRMG). Initiated by the City Government of Imus, GEANHS hosts and joins the 3-Day Junior Medic Training held at GEANHS Science Laboratory and Covered Court on September 19-21. Participants of the training intermediate elementary students, junior and senior high

school students, and members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP). For three rigorous days, these students were trained by the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) on first aid and basic life support procedures, making them equipped for school disaster readiness and resilience.

         Home of the "The Patriots" and "Ang Bayani", GEANHS' young journalists once again gained numerous awards in both individual and team contests during the Division Schools Press Conference held on September 13-28, 2018, earning the 2nd Best Performing School Award. The Patriot writers and broadcasters brought home not only a bountiful of individual awards, but also an ample number of qualifiers for RSPC.

          For the team categories, the school paper bagged 2nd Best Team for both Collaborative Publishing and TV Broadcasting, and 3rd Best Team for Radio Broadcasting. Added to those awards are the many recognitions of Ang Bayani in the Individual Category, also earning spots in the RSPC. The school paper proved to be a strong team, for it gained various awards in the Team Category: 2nd Best Team in TV Broadcasting; 4th Beat Team in Radion Broadcasting, including 1st Best Script and 2nd Best in Technical Application; and 4th Best Team in Collaborative Publishing. All these awards where made possible by the mentorship of The Patriot advisers, Ms. Melanie Mae N. Moreno and Sherelyn C. Nuñez; and Ang Bayani advisers, Mr. Jericho Hiel Astillero, Ms. Irish V. Baquiran, and Mr. Christian M. Quindoza.
