MARCH 19, 2025

GEANHS held an unannounced fire drill and fire safety orientation on March 19, 2025, where Emilians demonstrated their fire awareness and preparedness.

As the fire alarm sounded at 9:00 AM, students and teachers executed the school’s evacuation plan, proceeding to the designated evacuation area. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel closely observed the drill, assessing the effectiveness of the school’s emergency response procedures.

Following the drill, the BFP team, led by FO2 Alfred B. Alcantara and assisted by Fire Aide Robert Butalon, conducted a Fire Safety Orientation at the covered court. The session provided information on fire prevention, emergency protocols, and practical skills for handling fire emergencies. A highlight of the orientation was the demonstration of the proper use of fire extinguishers.

The entire program was organized by the school’s School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Team, under the leadership of Mrs. Crisanta F. Caudal.
The event was conducted in observance of Fire Prevention Month, which is celebrated every March. The school extends its gratitude to BFP Imus for their collaboration and commitment to promoting fire safety awareness.

MARCH 19, 2025

On March 19, 2025, GEANHS proudly observed National Women’s Month with a meaningful Forum in partnership with the Liwanag at Dunong Project Organization. The event highlighted the strength, resilience, and contributions of women, particularly indigenous women, as keepers of culture and guardians of strength.

The program began with a solemn prayer led by Mr. Rodrigo A. Asegurado, followed by the warm opening remarks of Ms. Ernalyn L. Miranda from the AP Department. Our school principal Mrs. Lerma V. Peña then shared an inspirational message that set the tone for the day.

A heartfelt introduction of our esteemed resource speaker was given by Ms. Mary Grace A. Prades. The forum’s highlight was the powerful talk delivered by Ms. Maningning H. Vilog, an indigenous people advocate, officer of the Liwanag at Dunong Project, and Chairperson of Sandiwa. Her discussion on “Keepers of Culture, Guardians of Strength: Indigenous Women Rising” deeply resonated with the student participants, inspiring a greater appreciation for cultural heritage and the role of indigenous women in society.

An engaging educative forum followed, providing students the opportunity to ask questions and share insights. The program concluded with the awarding of a certificate of appreciation to our speaker, and heartfelt closing remarks by Ms. Ana Marie G. Ricafort, Master Teacher of the AP Department.

Together, we continue to honor the strength and resilience of women in all their diversity. Here’s to empowering and celebrating women every day! 💜

MARCH 13, 2025

At precisely 7:30 AM today, GEANHS conducted the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), demonstrating its commitment to disaster preparedness and the safety of its students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel.

The entire school community actively participated in the drill, practicing the “duck, cover, and hold” procedure upon the simulated earthquake alarm.

Leading the evacuation procedure were the SDRRM Team and student leaders and volunteers, including members of the Junior Medics, Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), and class presidents. These Emilians played a central role in guiding their fellow learners to designated safe zones, ensuring a smooth and organized evacuation.
“Today’s NSED showed our school’s dedication to a culture of safety and preparedness,” said Mrs. Crisanta F. Caudal, Head Teacher VI and SDRRM Deputy, during the drill evaluation and debriefing.

Also present during the drill are Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, Principal IV, and the Department Heads who showed support to the school’s safety initiatives.

The drill served as a valuable opportunity to assess and enhance the school’s emergency response plan, identifying areas for improvement and reinforcing the importance of regular drills.
