SDO Imus City Leads 123rd National Flag Day Celebration

Schools Division Office of Imus City hosted the celebration of the 123rd National Flag Day, to commemorate the first unfurling of the national emblem after the Philippine Revolutionary Army defeated the Spanish forces in the Battle at Alapan, Imus, Cavite in 1898. Highlight of the celebration was a virtual symposium on the significance of the flag and national symbols, headquartered at Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo National High School on May 27, 2021.

 

In coordination with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), the program featured notable personalities and experts on Philippine history: Undersecretary for Legislative Affairs, External Partnerships, and Project Management Service, Tonisito M.C Umali, Esq; NHCP Senior History Researcher and Heraldry Section Head, Juan Paolo Calamlam; Bureau of Curriculum Development Senior Education Program  Specialist Christine Graza-Magboo; and Filipino Public Historian and De La Salle University Professor, Michael Charleston “Xiao” Chua.

 

Executive Order No. 179 was issued to celebrate National Flag Day on the 28th day of May every year.

SDS Torres Receives Gintong Parangal Para Sa Edukasyon Award

Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres, CESO IV, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Imus City, has been recognized as Ambassador Antonio L. Cabangon-Chua Gintong Parangal Para sa Edukasyon Awardee (Pamumuno at Paglilingkod ng Guro).

Organized by Fortune Life Insurance Co. Inc. and the Marylindbert International, the awarding ceremony was held on May 28, 2021 at DepEd Central Office.

The prestigious award is given to educators of the Department of Education to honor their exemplary deeds and values of hard work and discipline.
 

SDO Imus City Extends Assistance to Emilians

SDO Imus City, through the generosity of its leaders, Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rosemarie D, Torres, and Assistance Schools Division Superintendent, Mr. Ivan Bryan L. Inductivo, distributed essential supplies to GEANHS.

 

GEANHS received boxes of A4 bond papers and printers on April 16 and May 11, 2021, respectively. These supplies and equipment are crucial for efficient delivery of basic education services in time of pandemic.

SDS Torres Visits GEANHS' Modular and Online Hubs

GEANHS welcomed Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres, for the on-site validation of finalists for the First Division Search for Best Virtual and Modular Hub on May 12, 2021.

 

Dr. Jean Pauline P. Aledia, Medical Officer, joined Dr. Torres for the validation of the school clinic.

 

GEANHS' Online Hub and Grade 8 Module Hub were selected as finalists during the initial validation held on March 11-13, 2021. The program was created to promote conducive learning environment in the new normal.

GEANHS Accommodates Division Online Demo of Teacher-Applicants

In accordance to social distancing protocols, SDO Imus City conducted its first ever Division Virtual Online Interview and Demonstration-Teaching for Teacher-Applicant for Elementary, Junior High School & Senior High School for School Year 2021-2022.

 

Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, Principal IV, joined school heads in SDO Imus City on May 3-4,2021, to facilitate the virtual activity via Google Meet.

Registry of Qualified Applicants shall be published in the official website of SDO Imus City not later than June 2021.
