SARIA ELECTED AS ICPTAF PRESIDENT

Mr. Eric P. Saria, GPTA President of GEANHS was elected as President of the Imus City Parents-Teachers Association Federation (ICPTAF) for School Year 2020-2021. The Election of ICPTAF & Board of Directors  was held on February 19, 2021 at Toclong Elementary School.

 

ICPTAF is SDO Imus City's partner in creating programs, projects for effective delivering quality education amidst the pandemic.

GEANHS PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE GOV. ERINEO "AYONG" S. MALIKSI

GEANHS grieves the loss of a great man, the father of Cavite, Gov. Erineo "Ayong" S. Maliksi.

The news of his passing on February 24, 2021 brought lament to the school community for he was not only a public servant to the eyes of Emilians, but a pioneer whose efforts to serve his constituents led to the founding of General Emilio National High School or GEANHS in 1996.

 

To pay respect to his service and dedication to education for all Imusenyos, GEANHS organized a vigil on February 28, 2021. Teachers prepared a program that highlights Gov. Maliksi's achievements and his contributions to the betterment of the province.

 

On March 2,2021, GEANHS cadets served as pallbearers during the funeral mass at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of the Our Lady of the Pillar.

 

GEANHS will always be thankful for his service to the Caviteños. His life has been an instrument that granted more Imusenyos access to quality education. His legacy will always be remembered.

COLLAO LEADS UP-MANILA ONLINE PRESS CONFERENCE

Renen C. Collao, SPJ Grade 9 student, won 1st Place in Editorial Cartooning (Traditional) during The Aurum Online Press Conference held on February 19, 2021 via Facebook. Ms. Melanie Mae N. Moreno, School Paper Adviser, mentored Collao to succeed among 300 high school participants.

 

With the theme "Fixing Comms: Promoting Science Journalism Among Us", the online press conference was organized by UP Manila Biochemistry Society, and aims to "provide accurate and current information, present science and technology for the masses, and give readers the opportunity to view science at different perspectives".

IMUS GOV'T LEGACY PROJECT LAUNCHED

Imus City Government launched its legacy project through the Blessing of E-Jeep and Legacy Project Tour held on February 15, 2020 at Imus Plaza. The program was conducted together with the weekly flag ceremony, followed by the ceremonial blessing of e-jeeps. Clad in creative and relevant designs, all e-jeeps paraded around Imus City. Mrs. lerma V. Peña, School Principal, and Mr. Eric P. Saria, GPTA President, attended the event.

 

Imus' legacy project is part of Imus City's Green Schools initiative that aims to strengthen fight against climate change through alternative sources of water and energy.
