SDOIC Bida Pasasalamat 2020 Recognizes Emilian Teachers

SDOIC ended 2020 with an awarding ceremony to recognize school heads, teachers, and personnel who have exemplified outstanding performance in their respective duties. The program was held online through Facebook Live and YouTube Live on December 23, 2020.

 

GEANHS received 14 awards, including Best Principal in Academic – Secondary and Most Accommodating Principal awarded to Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, Principal IV.

 

Teacher awardees consist of: Ms. Lenie D. Vilalluna (Best Teacher in Science); Ms. Babylene A. Sapallida (Best Online Teacher in Science); Mr. Pampilo B. Cerbito (Best Teacher in MAPEH); Mr. Mariano O. Evangelista (Best Teacher in Sports); Ms. Roselyn F. Santos (Best Teacher in Filipino); Mr. Jerico Hiel B. Astillero (Best Teacher in Filipino – Journalism); Ms. Michelle A. Baltazar (Best Teacher in English); Ms. Melanie N. Moreno (Best Teacher in English – Journalism); Mr. Jonaldie F. Fabaliña (Best Lesson Exemplar in Araling Panlipunan)); Mr. Geraldine L. Elomina (Best Teacher in Mathematics); and Mr. Joseph R. Carreon (Best Teacher Researcher). Ms. Loise Elaine D. Tined, school nurse, was also recognized as Best School Health Services Coordinator.

 

“We very thankful to SDOIC, led by SDS Rosemarie D. Torres and ASDS Ivan Brian L. Inductivo for the recognition given to our teachers. We will see it as a challenge to better ourselves in delivering quality education to our learners,” Mrs. Peña shared.

Imus City Gov't Shares Christmas Gifts for Teachers

The City Government of Imus expressed its appreciation for schools as it distributed stand fans and microwave ovens to teaching and non-teaching personnel, under the leadership of Hon. Congressman Alex L. Advincula, Hon. Mayor Emmanuel L. Maliksi, and Hon. Vice Mayor Arnel M. Catimbuhan.

 

The gift-giving was made possible through the efforts of Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo.

Ms. Marycon Carmela G. Mella's photo essay entitled "Collaboration as Catalyst for Action" is awarded as one of the 15 Best Photo Essays on SLAC during DepEd CALABARZON Curriculum and Learning Delivery Management Division (CLMD) Night held on December 5, 2020 at Seqouia Hotel, Parañaque City.

The photo essay reflected GEANHS' rich research culture that produces continuous professional development opportunities for teachers that are based on learners' needs and target competency development.

Villareal, Mella, Zuñiga Receive DEPED BERF Grant

Ms. Mary Ann N. Villareal, Ms. Marycon Carmela G. Mella, and Mr. Michael B. Zuñiga, ICT Teachers, presented their research proposal during DepEd CALABARZON's Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) Proposal Presentation via Google Meet on December 3. 2020.

 

Their research entitled, "Batang Emiliano, Kalusuga'y Panalo: Information, Education and Communication (IEC) for Infectious Diseases Mitigation" aims to strengthen health education among students amid distance learning.
