#NSED2024 at GEANHS underscored the importance of collaboration in disaster preparedness. The school partnered with various organizations to conduct a successful drill today that showcased their strengthened commitment to safety.
GEANHS teamed up with the Imus City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), Philippine Red Cross - Cavite Chapter, and the School Parents Teachers Association (SPTA) for the NSED. Experts and representatives from these organizations observed the drill's execution, providing technical assistance and ensuring it adhered to safety protocols.
This activity highlights the importance of inter-agency collaboration and community involvement in ensuring disaster readiness. GEANHS believes that strong partnerships are fundamental in continuously improving its disaster preparedness initiatives and adopting a proactive approach to safety.

NSED aimed to prepare the school community for a potential earthquake and ensure a safe and orderly evacuation.
The drill, simulating a strong earthquake, commenced at 9:00 AM with the sounding of the earthquake siren. Students and teachers promptly executed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and proceeded to evacuate to designated safe zones once the shaking subsided.
Class presidents carried their section placards during evacuation, allowing teachers to maintain a headcount and ensure all students were accounted for.
To further accelerate the evacuation process, classes utilized Emergency Response Signages (ERS). These signs were strategically posted on doors to indicate whether a classroom was clear or if someone needed assistance. The use of ERS helped streamline the emergency response and ensure everyone's safety during the drill.
#NSED2024 serves as a vital training exercise, allowing GEANHS to continuously refine its disaster preparedness plans and equip the school community with the necessary skills to navigate emergencies.

In an effort to bolster student health and safety, GEANHS recently procured essential medical equipment for the Junior Medics Headquarters. This initiative comes in anticipation of the flu and pollen season in the Philippines, where asthma and allergy cases are known to rise.
Now equipped with nebulizers and a blood pressure monitor, GEANHS Junior Medics will be able to respond more efficiently to medical emergencies that may arise beyond regular clinic services.
The Junior Medics Team, composed of trained student volunteers, will be on heightened alert during this crucial time.  Having these additional medical supplies allows them to administer immediate care to students suffering from asthma attacks, allergic reactions, or sudden changes in blood pressure.
This proactive measure demonstrates the school's commitment to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.

GEANHS is all set for the Department of Education's National Learning Camp Assessment (NLCA) today. Yesterday, Mr. Arturo P. Rosaroso Jr., school principal, personally inspected the centers at the ICT Hub to ensure readiness of all equipment.

The inspection comes after the successful deployment of tablet PCs across all four testing centers, through the school's partnership with Gen. Juan Castañeda Senior High School, Tanzang Luma Elementary School, Buhay na Tubig Elementary School Maharlika Annex, and Anabu I Elementary School.

The successful setup of the testing centers exhibits the collective effort of GEANHS administration, teachers, ICETS Office, Guidance Services, and school personnel.

The NLCA is a nationwide assessment program designed to gauge the learning progress of students across Math, Science, and English subjects.
GEANHS is grateful for the support of its community members, the Schools Division of Imus City, and its partner schools to provide a complete and comfortable testing set up for learners.
