As a member of the BSP, you'll have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and learn about patriotism and brotherhood. Engage in cooperative activities like survival camping and community service projects like clean-up drives.

As part of the National Clean-Up Month celebration in September, our student volunteers worked tirelessly to clean up our campus and surrounding areas.

From September 16 to 20, our students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel donned their finest Filipiniana outfits, showcasing the beauty of our traditional wear. It was a colorful and vibrant week filled with patriotism and pride in our rich heritage.

Shoutout to the Araling Panlipunan Department and everyone who participated in this colorful celebration of Filipino culture.

The assessment aimed to identify potential hazards and ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel. We are grateful for the guidance and expertise provided by the SDOIC team to help us maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.

GEANHS TEENIG Center held its first General Meeting and Election of Officers last September 23 at the Guidance Office. Facilitated by THK Adviser, Ms. Maria Greta Guinto, the meeting focused on discussing the organization’s rules and policies, updates and reminders, and past and future activities, programs, and events.


Our Peer Educators are compassionate youth who are dedicated to support and guide their fellow Emilians towards a safe and bright future.

Emilian learners, teachers, and non-teaching personnel participated in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) this morning, where they showcased adherence to the school’s established earthquake protocols and evacuation procedures.

The School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team, led by Mrs. Crisanta F. Caudal, oversaw the drill together with representatives from the Imus City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) and Cavite Provincial DRRMO.

Student leaders Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), and class presidents took the initiative to support the conduct of the drill. GEANHS' The Junior Medics also demonstrated their rescue skills, showcasing their ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Following the drill, a debriefing session was held where observers and stakeholders provided feedback on the conduct of the exercise. Insights gathered will be used to further refine the school’s emergency response plans.

GEANHS remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its students, teachers, and staff by regularly conducting drills and exercises to prepare for potential emergencies.

To provide a platform for open dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, GEANHS convened its School Governing Council (SGC) meeting on September 24 at the Principal’s Office.


The meeting was presided over by Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, School Principal, who emphasized the crucial role of the school’s partners, the community, in delivering quality and accessible education to learners. Ms. Elizabeth Z. Villanueva, Head Teacher VI of Mathematics Department, led a discussion on the policy guidelines related to the SGC, ensuring that all members understand their roles and responsibilities in the decision-making process.


The meeting was attended by Head Teachers, Mr. Christian M. Quindoza, President of the Teachers and Employees Club (TEC), and officers of the School Parents Teachers Association (SPTA). Community leaders from nearby barangays were also present, including Barangay Captain Marlo E. Dominguez of Palico IV, Barangay Captain Luisin Dominguez of Palico III, Barangay Captain Ryan Jhay Sapanghila of Palico II, and Barangay Captain Nicanor Z. Olives of Palico I.


The SGC meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between the school and the community in addressing educational challenges and improving the overall quality of education in GEANHS.

As part of Together4Teachers, a series of events and activities organized by Rotary Clubs from District 3810 in celebration of Teachers’ Month, GEANHS teachers attended a talk entitled “Protecting the Educator: Legal Safeguards and Professional Conduct” on September 20 at the VIP Conference Room.

The session was facilitated by guest speaker Atty. Dennis Dela Cruz, who provided valuable insights and guidance on various legal aspects related to teachers' rights, responsibilities, and potential legal challenges. He also provided practical tips on how teachers can protect themselves from legal issues and maintain professional conduct.

The session was initiated by Ms. Kristin Love Layague Jumalon Klove, a Master Teacher from the English Department and the Magical Irresistible President of Rotary Club Imus Independencia.

GEANHS is grateful to the Rotary Clubs of District 3810 for their contributions to the professional development of our teachers.

We now have 46 brand-new Acer laptops, complete with mice, headsets, and bags. To keep these devices powered up, we also received 2 charging stations and other essential accessories.


These new devices will surely enhance our students' learning experience and provide them with the necessary tools for success in the 21st century world.

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure safety and well-being of students and personnel, GEANHS held an orientation on disaster preparedness and response yesterday at the covered court.


Discussion was facilitated by the school’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team, with Mr. Bob Belocura Jr. focusing on earthquake preparedness and Mr. Melvin Lisay presenting the evacuation maps. 


The orientation was attended by class presidents, members of the Junior Medics, Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), and officers of the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG).


Ms. Crisanta F. Caudal, SDRRM Deputy Chief, emphasized the crucial role of these student leaders in disseminating information on disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) among their peers. By understanding earthquake preparedness and knowing the evacuation routes, students can be more resilient in the face of disasters.

H Philippines Control Station Inc. (HSPCI) Director, Mr. Michael Koh, personally visited GEANHS on September 11 to personally inspect the status of the school’s internet connections installed as part of the City Government of Imus’ School WiFi Project.


During his visit, Mr. Koh assessed the performance of the HSPCI-installed internet infrastructure. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the project and emphasized the company’s commitment to providing reliable and high-quality internet connectivity to schools in the area.


In addition to inspecting the school WiFi project, Mr. Koh also discussed other potential benefits of using HSPCI’s internet connection with GEANHS’ Department Heads, ICT Coordinator, and school head, Mrs. Lerma V. Peña. The discussions included exploring future plans for expanding internet connectivity within the school.

GEANHS proudly became a recipient of the Makerspaze: Innovation and STEM Skill Development Outreach Program, a collaborative initiative by De La Salle Santiago Zobel School and Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc., during the turn-over ceremony held earlier today at the newly established Robotics Room.


Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, school principal, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for this partnership, emphasizing the impact it will have on the school’s Science, Technology and Engineering (STE) Program. Ms. Rochelle S. Balete, Education Program Supervisor of Science from DepEd Imus City, attended the event to represent the division and show her support for this innovative initiative.


Highlight of the ceremony was a robotics demonstration participated by the Grade 7 learners of the STE Program.
GEANHS teachers who have undergone training in robotics earlier this year, will now guide the learners in their robotics journey beginning SY 2024-2025. The donated equipment will provide students with hands-on experience and opportunities to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills for success in the STEM field.

On September 10, 2024, GEANHS hosted the North Cluster Sports Meeting at the Principal’s Office. The meeting brought together sports coordinators from GEANHS, Gen. Flaviano Yengko Senior High School, and Licerio Topacio National High School to discuss preparations for the upcoming cluster meet. 


Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, Secondary Schools Cluster Head, presided over the meeting. Participants reviewed the schedule, rules, and regulations for the cluster meet, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participating schools. 


The sports coordinators also discussed strategies for training and preparing their athletes for the upcoming competitions. The goal is to cultivate sportsmanship, camaraderie, and healthy competition among the students at participating schools.

GEANHS teamed up with the Schools Division Office of Imus City (SDOIC) to conduct a comprehensive risk assessment to evaluate the school’s infrastructure on September 13. The assessment was led by Engr. Jay Darious M. Montealegre, Technical Assistant III/ Division Engineer, in collaboration with Mr. Ludovico R. Resuello Jr., Master Teacher I, and Mr. Marlon Q. Martinez, SDRRM Team Member.


The risk assessment involved a thorough inspection of the school buildings, facilities, and grounds to identify potential hazards such as structural weaknesses and other safety concerns.


The findings of the risk assessment will be used to improve the school's comprehensive safety plan to mitigate potential risks and ensure the safety of students and school personnel.

GEANHS welcomed a delegation from Imus National High School (INHS) on September 10 for a benchmarking visit focused on the school’s Multimedia Room and internet infrastructure. The purpose of this visit was for INHS to adopt best practices that could be implemented in their school.


INHS team, led by Mr. Dennis Jay G. Gumboc, ICT Coordinator and School Paper Adviser, was welcomed by GEANHS' ICT Coordinators, Ms. Mary Ann N. Villareal and Mr. Mark Deo S. Esquita. Delegates from INHS ICT and Journalism team were given a guided tour of the school’s Multimedia Room and other relevant facilities.


Following the tour, the INHS delegation had a courtesy call with Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, school principal. Mrs. Peña expressed her gratitude for the visit and emphasized the importance of collaboration among schools to share knowledge and best practices. As a token of their appreciation, the INHS team presented Mrs. Peña with a Certificate of Appreciation.

In partnership with Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), GEANHS hosted a seminar-training on “Disaster Preparedness Advocacy for Children” on September 26 at the ICT Conference Room.


Representatives from Cavite PDRRMO covered topics on hazards and disasters, and trained students on Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Standard First Aid. Participants included student leaders from the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG), Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), and Junior Medics. 


During the opening program, Mrs. Lerma V. Peña, school principal, expressed her gratitude to Cavite PDRRMO and Schools Division of Imus City for the opportunity to strengthen DRRM education in GEANHS. The presence of Department Heads and the SDRRM Team further emphasized the school’s commitment to disaster preparedness.


The training was a valuable opportunity for Emilians to learn essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Emilians joined the nationwide celebration of National Clean-Up Month by organizing a cleanup drive earlier today. Members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), and Junior Medics actively participated in cleaning up the school grounds and surrounding areas.

Guided by adult leaders from BSP and GSP and the school’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team, the students removed litter, debris, and other waste materials, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the surroundings.

The clean-up activity was a valuable opportunity for Emilians to contribute to environmental protection and promote a sense of community responsibility. By promoting a clean and healthy environment, the school aims to create a conducive learning atmosphere for all Emilians.
